At our October Meeting the team that traveled to Greenwood after the storm will be showing some images and discussing their trip and how others can get involved.

Atmospheric and oceanic conditions have set the stage for an extremely active hurricane season that could rank among the busiest on record. With the peak of hurricane season quickly approaching, NOAA’s National Weather Service urges everyone to know their risk; prepare for threats like damaging winds, storm surge and inland flooding from heavy rainfall; and to have a plan if asked to evacuate.

With this being said at our meeting on Monday, we will discuss how our group can help the most with those in need. We do plan another trip to North Carolina so if you are interested in being a volunteer please sign up with Gerri McDaniel. More information about the trip will be forth coming.
